RESULT 1: Integrated software platform for cluster-level management of symbiotic energy and resources streams

The new platform conceived by SYMBIOPTIMA is able to: incorporate resource planning and scheduling(including energy), Supply Chain Management and business processes of the enterprise and of the entire cluster; develop and promote a holistic comprehension of the system; include methods to allow information to flow to where it is needed; enable advanced forecasting functionalities to be used for optimal management of the cluster.

RESULT 2: Life-cycle sustainability assessment framework for the human-mimetic symbiotic cluster

SYMBIOPTIMA assessment model measures the impact on sustainability of the decisions taken before their actual implementation on field and taking fully into account all aspects related to the full supply chain concept of the Symbiotic Cluster. The creation of a unique LCSA modelling and assessment tool enables the evaluation of cross-sectorial productive systems, identifying quantitatively the advantages related to the implementation of SYMBIOPTIMA symbiotic industrial clusters and parks in comparison with individual industrial companies or classical purely geographical clusters.

RESULT 6: De-polymerization reactor for chemical PET recycling 2

SYMBIOPTIMA proposes the first sustainable (economically, environmentally and socially) industrial application of chemical treatment for reuse of PET plastics waste streams, aimed at developing, at industrial level, a microwave technology that provides an indefinite life to PET, allowing to come back to its composing elements (EG and TPA) without degrading the materials.
